The Farm Life

Image
Today we accompanied the Nakamuras clan + uncle Kenny/auntie Amy/Gavin to a farm in Castro Valley. Brooklynn and I often dream of living and working on a farm, so any time we have the chance to visit one is exciting. This will be our first time gathering fresh eggs straight from the chickens! Yummy! This is Jenny, the farm girl. She is SUPER nice. She answered tons of questions that Brooklynn and I had about farm life, the animals, etc. 1 dozen fresh farm eggs for $3. What a deal! Trivia: Did you know that each chicken lays 1 egg everday ? Brooklynn , like most little girls, has always had a fascination with horses. I would love to put her in riding lessons some day, but Jeff and I disagree tremendously on this matter. Until we are able to come to an agreement about it, she goes without. Today I went to brunch with the sis-in-law, the Gavinator, and friends of SIL.   We decided to meet in Fremont at Le Moose's crepe cafe where we got down with the food.  We ordered 4 different types of crepes (including my favorite breakfast one) + smoothies + dessert crepes.    The food was delish as always and as usual makes up for the slow service. This crepe cafe, and many others, gives me the inspiration to serve crepes in my own cafe. The kiddos. My smoothie (coffee, of course!) I began spending more time with the SIL ever since she had the Gavinator. Although she has been a part of my brother's life for MANY years, we had never gotten to know one another.  It seems having kids has given us the commonality to kindle a friendship.  I am enjoying getting to know her and my nephew.  Now if only I could hang out with my brother sometime...

Gavin Comes to Visit

Gavin's long-awaited visit is finally here. Brooklynn is ecstatic! Today we hung out with my favorite nephew and faux sis-in-law outdoors.   We enjoyed ice cream, convo, lunch, shopping, boba, and each other's company.  Those two are very special to both Brooklynn and me.  Time with them is always so short.   We can't wait for them to come visit again! xoxo
