NYC Trip 2007

This is my second trip to New York, so I had a bit more time to enjoy the city. I ate at fantastic restaurants like Jean Georges with a quintessential New York view of Central Park, Nobu, Mario Batali's Del Posto, famous Carnegie Deli (where When Harry Met Sally Was Filmed) for their cornbeef sandwiches, and many more. I shopped my little heart out, club-hopped, rode the subway, and visited The Empire State Building.
It's also always nice to see one of my life-long friends, Rod. I rarely get to see him and we don't talk as much as I would like, but when I am with him it's like we pick up exactly where we left off without skipping a beat. Liberty and Rod have been my BFFs forever, so it's special for me to share things like trips to New York with them. 16+ years of memories and they still keep coming. xoxo, you two! Sigh.. I had so much fun; however, the most exciting part of my trip was my last night in NYC.

It started out with a walking tour of the city, then a friendly stroll through Central Park. If you have never experienced Central Park in the fall, it is magnificent! The fresh crisp air, the colors of the leaves turning, and watching the sun disappear as the lamps turn on. Breathtaking. After the stroll through the park, we headed off to a beautiful wine bar where we enjoyed more conversation then headed to see my first Broadway play, Spamalot. Hilarious humor, great company, and then off to a late dinner at another Mario Batali restaurant- Babbo Ristorante. After a 9-course meal paired with wine, we practically closed the place down and called it a night.

I anxiously await my next trip to the Big Apple. Until next time... *sigh*
