NYC Trip- day I

Today, I headed to New York today for work. Unlike my last work-trip, I had to leave Bstarr behind so that I could actually work this trip. Although I have been on numerous business trips before, it was difficult to leave this time because Bstarr was illin'. Poor little thing. After the 5 hour flight on Virgin Airlines, I arrived in NY. This was my first trip there during the summer and I was anxious to experience all of the hype I had been hearing from girlfriends. As I stepped off the plane, I was overcome with excitement. There was so much to do and see over the next 4 days that I wasn't looking forward to sleeping. After a call to Bstarr and a short cab ride during commute time, I arrived at the hotel where I quickly freshened up, and I was off to walk the city. Lake Elizabeth Field Trip

With my fantastic work-from-home job I had another opportunity to chaperone a field trip for Bstarr's first grade. Today we went to the local community park, Lake Elizabeth. Not only did I get to chaperone a group of great kids, but I also got the chance to try out my face painting skills! Below are some of my creations. I'm no professional, but I blame it on the inferior paints and brushes. *wink* bunny rabbit butterfly Bstarr's butterfly puppy dog The day ended with a balloon toss then a leisurely walk back to the school. I truly am blessed to be able to spend these moments with Bstarr at this young age. I hope I never take these things for granted...
